Innovation in
rail transportation

The concept is based on the use of recuperated energy obtained when braking vehicles and on extending the life of traction batteries.

The result of the project is a design of fuzzy logic for optimising the running of super-capacitors including traction substations, charging, control of return energy recuperation and use of energy from recuperation.

Thanks to the results obtained within the project, it is possible to reduce the consumption of fossil fuels and amount of CO2 and other emissions in rail transportation.
